With more than 11,000 employees, Cherokee Nation and its businesses make an annual economic impact in northeast Oklahoma of $2.03 billion. 

Cherokee Nation Businesses is engaged in preserving Cherokee culture, contributing to services for Cherokee citizens, and supporting the local economy through its programs and services, such as:

• Investing nearly $100 million to build new and renovate existing Cherokee Nation health care facilities to provide the best care possible for tribal citizens.

• Creating more than 8,700 new jobs since 2000 and managing an annual payroll of more than $426 million. 

• Operating the largest tribal health system in the United States, including a 58-bed hospital, eight outpatient facilities with medical, dental, vision and other health care services. 

• Supporting Head Start, early childhood classrooms, Sequoyah Schools for grades 7-12 and Cherokee language revitalization programs. 

• Providing thousands of higher education scholarships in the past decade. 

• Providing more than $4 million annually to Oklahoma schools from car tag sales. 

• Feeding more than 127,000 individuals annually through the Cherokee Nation Food Distribution Program. 

• Building roads, bridges and water lines that benefit all Oklahomans.​
